Meet the Teachers

Ms. Kim – Director of Peace Preschool

My family moved to Elk Grove in February 2014, and at the same time, I began my journey at Peace Preschool. My son attended Peace in 2014 and 2015. I have a bachelor’s degree in Child Development, with a minor in psychology from Chico State. I also hold a Child Development Program Director permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I have worked in the field of early childhood education since 2005 as an aide, teacher, and preschool director. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, baking, and running.

Ms. Tara – Assistant Director & Teacher: 4-day Junior Kindergarten classes

I started in 2008 at Peace Preschool, while my daughter was attending as a student. I have an Early Childhood Development Certificate, bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Early Childhood Development, and an Assistant Director Permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. When I am not teaching, I keep very busy. My family bikes a lot around Elk Grove. We love snow skiing, water-skiing, white-water rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding and driving cross country.

Ms. Pamela – Teacher: 3-day (Mon-Wed-Fri) and 2-day (Tu/Th) classes

I began teaching at Peace Preschool in 2015, the year after my son left the program. I have my degree in Liberal Studies and Early Childhood Education. When not teaching, I can usually be found at a music concert. I also find joy in a cozy blanket, Downtown Abbey, and an iced chai tea.

Ms. Dede – Teacher: 3-day (Mon-Wed-Fri) and 2-day (Tu/Th) classes

I began teaching at Peace preschool in 2016, after spending many years at home raising my children. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education. When I am not working, I love to craft, read, and spend time with my family.

Ms. Sou-Wah – Teacher’s aide in the Junior K morning class

I began teaching at Peace in 2021. My son attended Peace and my daughter is here with me! This is my first time working with Preschool-aged children. My academic background is in Art, Design and Photography, I have a Master’s in Creative Design Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with my family, doing movie nights/game nights, spending time with friends and traveling. I also love illustration, crafts, decorating for the holidays, organizing and Disney!
